We currently have an opportunity for a HR Coordinator based in our Wimbledon Office on an 18 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. Immediate start.

The Role

To support the SHEQ & HR Director acting as the first point of contact for the HR Function. Acting as the HR Admin lead, fulfilling a ‘hands-on’ admin role. Undertake project work.

Responsibilities

  • To advise managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures and processes, escalating more complex queries to the SHEQ & HR Director.
  • Assist the SHEQ & HR Director with the supervision of the HR Administrator.
  • Manage the new starter process - producing offers/contracts of employment and contractor services documentation, notifying key personnel, administering all starter documentation and checks.
  • Advise the Payroll Manager of starters, leavers, changes to contracts etc.
  • Manage the leaver process – resignation letters, notifying key personnel, conducting exit interviews for junior staff.
  • Maintain HR database/system.
  • Administer employee benefits including pension, private healthcare and childcare vouchers.
  • Assist with visa applications.
  • Administration of the Company annual salary review process.
  • Manage staff annual leave records and the administration of the end of year review of balances and long service awards.
  • Assist with the review and updating of Company policies and procedures.
  • Run monthly personnel summary reports.  
  • Alongside managers monitor assignment end dates, renewing or ending accordingly in line with company policy.
  • Administer the annual appraisal process.
  • Manage maternity/paternity/flexible working requests.

  • Must have high attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately.

  • A great team player who can provide a good internal customer service is essential.
  • High degree of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Commercial awareness.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Degree educated or part CIPD qualified.
  • Must have proven and well developed administrative experience within an HR environment.
  • Good basic working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Previous experience/knowledge of HR Systems.
  • Intermediate IT literacy with competent knowledge of Microsoft Office
