Safety Day for New Platform Crews

7th August 2011

ODE and long-term client, RWE DEA, recently held a safety day for the newly recruited crews for the Clipper South and Breagh platforms.  ODE will be providing Operations Support services to the two new platforms under the recently extended contract which already covers the existing Cavendish platform.

The purpose of the day was to promote a joint RWE/ODE message on safety expectations and safety culture, culminating in the drafting of a Safety Charter.  It also offered an excellent opportunity to introduce the new offshore crews to ODE’s onshore Operations Support team.

Commenting on the value of the Safety Day, David Batey, ODE’s Head of Operations Support commented “ODE’s number one priority is safety and we are committed to maintaining our exemplary track-record in safe offshore operations.  The Safety Day provided an excellent opportunity to engage the offshore crews in the development of a Safety Charter, thereby ensuring universal commitment to our Safety objectives.”
