3rd September, 2018

ODE Asset Management Limited (ODEAM), a wholly owned subsidiary of the international engineering and operations support services contractor ODE, has been awarded a contract to be the Installation and Pipeline Operator (Duty Holder) for the Humber Gathering System which will initially serve the Tolmount field.

The Humber Gathering System (HGS) comprises a minimal facilities platform and gas export pipeline that will export gas from the Premier Oil and Dana Petroleum owned Tolmount gas field to the Easington onshore gas terminal.  The execute phase of the project will be managed and delivered by Premier, which is now under development with first gas planned for the fourth quarter of 2020. The HGS infrastructure will be owned by Humber Gathering System Limited (HGSL) and Dana in equal shares.

ODEAM will be responsible for the provision of Integrated Services, providing Operations, Maintenance and Pipeline Support Services to HGSL in the capacity of Installation Operator and Pipeline Operator including all work and support services required to discharge the duties and responsibilities associated with the performance of such roles. ODE will initially provide operational input throughout the project execution phase and will subsequently have full responsibility for operational readiness and ongoing operations.

ODEAM Director, Paul Chilvers said: “This award follows on from our success with our Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) Duty Holder contract award and recognises ODE’s experience and expertise in operations support in the Southern North Sea (SNS) and builds on our long history of supporting gas assets in the region. It also demonstrates that ODEAM’s new offering and approach to Duty Holdership, focused on efficiency and bespoke integration with clients, is of interest to the market as the North Sea matures and meets its cost challenge.”

Paul continued: “At ODE we are very pleased to be taking on the role of Duty Holder for the Humber Gathering System.  This award further strengthens our growth strategy, with the Greater Tolmount area having the potential to be a significant asset for decades to come.”

Alan Murray, HGSL’s Operations & Projects Director commented: “ODE is a trusted, experienced name in the SNS and we are pleased to enter into a new operating partnership with them. We have big plans for HGS and ODE will play a key part in the ultimate success of the system. We look forward to working closely with ODE on this exciting new development.”
