ode assisted Doris Engineering during FEED of the SHWE project by carrying out risk assessment studies.
The FEED entailed two SHWE gasfields in the Bay of Bengal, at 110m & 180m depths respectively. It feeds an onshore terminal via a 32" diameter, 120 km long export pipeline from a common offshore platform equipped with topsides process and accommodation.
The assessment work comprised the risk evaluation of all project facilities, which included onshore, offshore and subsea elements.
The agreed deliverables included the following studies:
- SSIV study
- dropped objects study for offshore activities
- ESSA study for on & offshore facilities
- fire and explosion risk analysis for on & offshore facilities
- RAM study for the combined on & offshore facilities
- qualitative risk analysis based on the above for on & offshore
Daewoo was the acting operator of the facilities and Hyundai was the contractor of the project. The FEED was sub-contracted to Doris and Technip as two parallel bids. The work was completed within the agreed time of four months.
