The Role

Primarily to support the requirements of various projects in producing pipeline deliverables, and to act as Technical Authority on pipeline matters. As a secondary role to provide project engineering services as required.

Scope of Responsibilities

Pipeline Engineering

To carry out pipeline engineering activities either personally or by supervision of others including the following activities as necessary for onshore and offshore oil and gas developments including:

  • Design basis
  • Route selection
  • Alignment sheets
  • Wall thickness selection
  • Pipeline in-place and installation analyses
  • Pipeline expansion and buckling analysis
  • Corrosion protection
  • Risk assessments and protection design
  • Specifications and data sheets, requisition and bid analysis of necessary materials and pipeline components
  • Resolution of technical issues liaising as necessary with clients, suppliers and internal engineers and staff.
  • Input to material vendor and /or installation contractor selection.
  • Remain up to date with design requirements, statutory regulations, codes of practice and industry standards.
  • Responsible for the identification of any design changes as a result of a variation to the contract arising within the scope of work and timely notification to the Project Manager.

Project Engineering

  • Run smaller oil & gas projects as study manager
  • Support project manager on larger oil & gas scopes of work
  • Lead ITT for package contracts on oil & gas projects
  • Lead negotiations with preferred suppliers
  • Responsible for maintaining/updating project CTRs
  • Checking and approving documents
  • Lead meetings
  • Production of study reports
  • Liaison with external companies such as certification bodies
  • Comfortable as a client interface
  • Interface with other disciplines to ensure inputs are suitable and that comments are responded to appropriately
  • Meeting with and presenting to potential clients, partners and industry leaders to promote the services of ODE.
  • Responsible for the cost, time and resource estimates, detailed technical proposal write-ups and proposals completion.

The Role

  • Run large renewable scopes of work
  • Responsible for all technical and commercial aspects of the project

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Represent ODE and be responsible for communication between ODE and the Client
  • Ensure that the Project Quality Plan and the specific quality practices, resources and sequence of activities listed are identified, and implemented.
  • Arrange with the Management for required in-house resources to be made available
  • Responsible for regular internal and external reporting
  • Ensure that invoices are correctly compiled and submitted to the client in a timely manner.
  • Identification and timely notification to the Company Management and Client the contractual or commercial implications of any variations to the contract and subsequently the agreement of such variations with the client.
  • Co-ordination and   supervision   of   all   contracts   with   outside organisations connected with the project such as consultants, suppliers, sub-contractors, inspection and certification authorities.
  • Project approval of all project documents (procedures, standards, specifications, requisitions, calculations and drawings etc.) before issue to the client or other organisations.
  • Responsible for ensuring the correct compilation, distribution and archiving of the closeout project documentation.
  • Lead new business proposals for offshore wind farm projects.
  • Meeting with and presenting to potential clients, partners and industry leaders to promote the services of ODE.
  • Responsible for the cost, time and resource estimates, detailed technical proposal write-ups and proposals completion

Competencies & Soft Skills

  • Construction and Installation experience in offshore wind
  • Good understanding of contracts

The Role

To provide and manage a welcoming and efficient front of house reception team. To manage all the facilities of the building for ODE and their tenants.

Scope of Responsibilities

Reception

  • This role will sit on reception and manage reception alongside a receptionist
  • Responsible for managing receptionist and reception temps
  • Ensure reception is clean and tidy at all times
  • Receive telephone calls, take messages and welcome visitors
  • Prepare AV set up and requests for meeting room set up, catering etc
  • Call out contractors for reactive maintenance
  • Managing procurement of weekly flowers for reception desk
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Postal duties
  • Ordering toners, stationery and supplies

Projects Manager - Great Yarmouth

The Role

The key aims of the role are:

  • Ensure studies and projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and in line with Client expectations.

The GY Projects Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of projects managed from the GY office with the focus on safety, cost, schedule & Client satisfaction. This will generally involve co-ordinating Project Engineers / Lead Engineers to deliver projects but will also on occasions require direct, hands-on Project Management.

The technical delivery & content of projects will be overseen by the Engineering Manager. The Projects Manager will therefore be expected to work closely alongside the Engineering Manager to ensure the appropriate resources are available and assigned to projects.

Key Interfaces / Support

To ensure satisfactory delivery of requirements, it will be necessary to work closely with and have the support of:

  • Procurement Team / Buyers
  • Implementation / Construction Manager

Scope of Responsibilities

Roles and responsibilities cover the full lifecycle of typical projects and include the following:

  • Assistance in business development activities including direct client liaison
  • Preparation and co-ordination of bids, proposals and engineering / project estimates
  • Ensuring (with input from the Engineering Managers) that the appropriate resources are selected and assigned from the shared pool to both manage and deliver projects
  • Ensuring projects are managed efficiently and in accordance with the Project Execution Plan and ODE’s corporate procedures
  • Responsible for commercial and contractual compliance of projects
  • Responsible for ensuring the cost & progress of projects are monitored regularly and change notices are raised & approved in a timely manner where required
  • Ensure Client progress reports are issued regularly
  • Manage the performance and development of Project Engineers
  • Attendance at Regional Management meetings and provision of reports appropriate to sphere of responsibility
  • Remain up to date with, and ensure the implementation of relevant legislation and practices
  • Initiation of project close out reports/reviews and input to Lessons Learned database
  • Assist/participate in Customer and Supplier First Point Assessment (FPAL) reviews

The Role

Primarily to be IT 1st line support engineer covering office in London, Great Yarmouth, Cairo and Taiwan. You will act as the main point of contact to the end user. You will receive all IT incidents that arrive in to the Service Desk and where possible attempt to provide 1st time resolution / 1st line support. You will escalate more complex IT issues up to 2nd line level.You will also help out in other areas as necessary.

Scope of Responsibilities

To carry out IT Support activities including the following activities as necessary for all regions and staff who use ODE IT Equipment including:

  • Helpdesk ticket monitoring, management & resolution (Main Duty).
  • Escalation of tickets & issues to Line Manager (2nd/3rd Line).
  • Imaging, setting up and moving machines (desktops & laptops).
  • Software installation for various disciplines / teams.
  • Assistance for setting up meeting rooms.
  • Updating of documentation (diagrams, procedures etc.).
