We currently have an opportunity for a Training & Competence Administrator based in our Great Yarmouth Office.

The Role

Training focal point – administer the training and development activities across the organisation, maintain accurate records and ensure all training and medicals are booked within expiry deadlines.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Training focal point.
  • The implementation of annual training plans within approved budgets.
  • Administer the booking, completion and recording of training courses.
  • Action course bookings, issue joining instructions, process completion certification.
  • Liaise with all internal departments, offices and Managers as required.
  • Liaise with offshore personnel to confirm availability for required training.
  • Day to day liaison with training providers, 3rd parties.
  • Dealing with a high volume of email enquiries.
  • Organise the development and delivery of training programmes, workshops and courses
  • Data input.
  • Organise travel and accommodation for training purposes.
  • Allocation of licences for computer-based training (CBT).
  • Originating company purchase orders in respect of training and reconciling invoices.
  • Accurate upkeep of both paper and computer-based training records.
  • Organising medicals and recording same.
  • Administering CMS system and upkeep of same.
  • Maintaining and safeguarding confidentiality of personal information relating to employees and others in line with GDPR.

SHEQ

  • Contribute to maintaining a strong SHEQ culture through visible safety leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental work practices, procedures and methods to meet all statutory requirements and the Company SHEQ Management System.
  • The listing of main responsibilities and main duties is not necessarily exhaustive and may be changed at management discretion to reflect the needs of the company.

Competencies & Soft Skills

  • Previous experience carrying out training administration.
  • Knowledge of offshore gas production and renewables beneficial.
  • Experience contributing to SHEQ matters, complying with legislation.

We currently have an opportunity for a Head of Operations to based in our Great Yarmouth Office on a staff basis.

The Role

The position will be a senior member of the ODE Great Yarmouth management team responsible for operational and technical management of all aspects of ODE’s Asset Management business portfolio. This position will also be the Deputy to the ODE Great Yarmouth Regional Director.

The key aims of the role are:

  • Ensure operational excellence across all ODE managed assets
  • Management of risks, including MAH’s offshore.
  • Maintain long-term resource planning, ensuring the business has the necessary qualified personnel to meet current and future operating requirements
  • Overall management of the Operations Team and responsible for achieving key performance indicators in relation to SHEQ, Asset integrity, maintenance, production, people management, finance and commercial.
  • Achieve annual turnover and profit as determined by company budget.
  • Work with the Regional Director and the Business Development team to implement marketing strategies and identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders: to ensure service delivery (on time and within budget), client satisfaction and Regulatory compliance, without adversely effecting personnel the environment, assets or the reputation of ODE or it’s clients.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Continual improvement and development of the Asset Management capability including supporting systems and procedures
  • Development of the Operations Team and all associated support functions
  • Ensure all contractual requirements are fully adhered to.
  • Achieve or exceed client minimum asset performance standards.
  • Ensure continual improvement of ODE’s systems and working practices.
  • Ensure the availability of all maintenance and intervention related resources essential to achieving asset integrity, to achieve optimum operation of the facilities and maintaining value of the assets.
  • Management level interface with ODE Engineering Department to ensure all modifications are affected correctly.

Production and Efficiency

  • Ensure that activities are managed within timescales and cost to meet contractual obligations and objectives.
  • Avoid waste by education, coaching, and instruction.
  • Maximise the productivity of resources, capital and other business resources.

Organisation and Resources

  • Ensure qualified competent personnel and resources to meet current and future operating requirements in a safe manner.
  • Ensure personnel complete Personal Competence Profiles and remain up to date.
  • Ensure that all employees are fully aware of the company’s Business Code of Conduct, Safety standards and expected safety behaviours.
  • Maintain a regular appraisal and performance review system to monitor the performance of all reportees and ensuring that the utilisation of individuals is maximised.

Finance and Commercial

  • Responsible for preparing and submitting budgets, forecasts, Monthly Reports and other plans/forecasts and programmes as required.
  • Manage budgetary performance within delegated areas of financial responsibility.
  • Continual review of operations/engineering expenditure with the aim of increasing efficiency and reduction of costs.
  • Continually seek additional business opportunities.
  • Ensure that the Company is not exposed to undue financial or contractual risk.

Competencies & Soft Skills

  • Previous experience and knowledge at a senior level of contract management for offshore operations.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining systems and procedures to facilitate operational readiness and ongoing operational excellence
  • Experience in a range of technical, supervisory and management roles.
  • Experience and knowledge of offshore gas production, process & utility systems.
  • Experience in production planning, forecasting and optimisation.
  • Experience in managing Health, Safety and Environmental matters, complying with legislation.
  • Experience managing budgets, negotiating with clients and suppliers and managing commercial risks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the ODE and client’s organisation
  • Ability to think strategically as well as managing day to day operations
  • Proven leadership and team management skills; accurately assess strengths and limitations of individuals, leverages their abilities and effectively delegates responsibility.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of MAH’s, Business, Integrity, Maintenance, Commercial and Legislative principals in direct correlation to the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Demonstrates safety and performance leadership; “walks the talk”, demonstrates high energy levels and commitment, and leads the team by example.
  • Thinks clearly & stays focused in complex, unpredictable and stressful situations, deals effectively with pressure and effectively manages risks.

  • Full and valid driving licence
  • Flexible and able to travel for meetings, training courses etc.

Qualifications

Degree level or higher in a core engineering discipline - Preferable. Offshore Operational Qualification – OIM level Preferable. Management/Leadership Qualification - Preferable. Health and Safety Qualification – Desirable
