SHE - CDM Specialist Great Yarmouth

This is a long-term position, preferably filled on a staff basis

What you will do

You will
a) act as the CDM Coordinator and fill associated roles and responsibilities for onshore terminal gas projects.
b) support the Operations group in SMS development and Maintenance for two offshore platforms.
c) provide Project SHE support. In the preparation of SHE Plans, auditing, subcontractor management, emergency response, incident investigation and reporting.
d) be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of systems/ procedures

What we would like you to offer us

As well as specific experience of working as CDM Coordinator on a UK COMAH gas plant, you must have procedure-writing skills and understand project execution.
You should be a Chartered Member of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) and hold a Diploma in Safety Management (NEBOSH/BSC) or equivalent.
A minimum of 20 years industrial experience and previous experience in developing safety management systems and advising on SH&E issues relating to the oil and gas industry, you must have CDM Experience covering CDM Coordinator and Principal Contractor Roles.
You should have an oil and gas engineering background and preferably be a Registered CDM-C Member of Association of Project Safety preferred.

Junior Planning Engineer - Kingston-upon-Thames

This is a staff position in our Kingston-upon-Thames office and will provide an attractive remuneration package which will reflect the capability and experience of the successful candidate. Candidates with the right aptitude and qualifications will be enrolled within our Professional Development Scheme operated to provide the training and development of our young engineers to undertake future senior roles within the company.
If your background is in mainstream construction or production engineering, training and familiarisation in the renewable energy and oil and gas industry will be provided.

What you will do

You will assist in the development of project plans and to participate in the progress measurement and reporting of planning schedules for the engineering, construction and operation of oil and gas and renewable energy projects. The work will be varied and may include development of schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, modification, or decommissioning of offshore wind farms, offshore oil and gas platforms and onshore terminals and refineries.
Projects will vary from small studies to large international field developments. Current projects include various wind farm studies, the project management of a significant offshore wind farm, onshore oil and gas de-bottlenecking projects, and an oil and gas development offshore Middle East.

What we would like you to offer us

You should be highly motivated, well organised and be able to demonstrate familiarity with the basics of project planning and scheduling. You may have had at least 1 or 2 years work experience in civil construction, the building industry, production engineering or IT or you may be a recent engineering graduate with a strong interest in project planning.
HNC in an engineering/construction/technical subject is the minimum requirement for this role and a degree is preferable.
You must already have the legal right to work in the UK.

What you will do

What we would like you to offer us

Past and current projects include subsea template and offshore jacket design, offshore wind farm structures, onshore terminal and refinery construction and upgrades. The posts are primarily office based however ode has successfully provided a broad range of construction, installation and offshore experience for our graduates.

What you will do

We have already engaged two Graduate Structural Engineers and now seek:

• Controls & Instrumentation Engineer – Great Yarmouth base
Undertaking engineering design within multi discipline engineering projects, comprising piping and instrument diagrams, instrumentation data sheets, cause and effects diagrams and the production of control and instrument specifications.
• Technical Safety Engineer – Kingston-Upon-Thames base
Active involvement with a broad range of offshore and onshore oil and gas and renewable energy projects you will undertake a variety of safety studies and analysis to ensure technical safety integrity of plant and personnel. You will develop your skills and experience to become a key member of our safety team and enjoy a stimulating environment in a wide variety of safety work from concept through FEED, detail engineering, commissioning, operation and de-commissioning phases.

What we would like you to offer us

You will ideally hold a masters degree in a related discipline with a course content aligned to ode’s activities in offshore, onshore and renewable energy engineering. We shall also look for the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a project team, enthusiasm for your discipline, commitment to high professional standards and an aptitude for innovative problem-solving. You will be expected to work towards membership of the appropriate professional institution. You will be willing to undertake short term secondments to fabrication/construction/offshore facilities where appropriate for both the project and your professional development. You must currently have the legal right to work in the UK. Some relevant experience is helpful but not a requirement.

Proposals Engineer

What you will do

You will work within the business development team to manage the preparation of high quality, winning proposals. Based on an agreed proposal strategy and following established proposal preparation procedures, you will be responsible for co-ordinating input from technical and commercial personnel to produce a proposal which is fully responsive to Client ITT requirements, clearly defines the scope of work and incorporates a well defined commercial offer

What we would like you to offer us

You should be a senior engineer with proposal preparation experience in a relevant process industry such as upstream or downstream oil & gas. You must be able to prioritise your workload, contribute in a team and will enjoy working in a stimulating and sometimes high pressure environment.
We would consider an experienced engineer who wants to gain business development experience
You must have a degree in an engineering discipline appropriate to our business activities.
