Job Description

ODEAM is looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to support across multiple projects.

The Role:

The Project Control Manager is responsible for the effective provision and competent functioning of Project Services for the various project teams based across all offices where ODEAM conducts its business.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Management of the following Project Services functions:

Liaison with the Brownfield Modification Manager and Engineering Delivery Manager with respect to the need and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures connected with the provision of Project Services:

  • Cost Management, Reporting and Forecasting
  • Document Management, Control and Archiving
  • Planning & Control
  • Change Order Management
  • Liaison with Asset Operations Managers Line Heads
  • Liaison with Finance Director

Management of workload for Project Services team including:

  • Oversee cost estimating, Cost Time Resource submission requirements for the Brownfield Engineering Team.
  • Implement ODEAM and Client control processes, develop and monitor an effective system of program cost controls for the Brownfield Modification delivery process.
  • Assists in coordinating engineering and construction activities in conjunction with the overall ODEAM Integrating planning process.
  • Accountable for the scheduling standards, compiling baseline schedules for the engineering team, and construction activities.
  • Measure and control cost, schedule, and technical performance against task or modification plans.
  • Perform cost estimating functions, including quantity surveys, assessment of appropriate inflation factors, and pricing based on R.
  • Preparing monthly analyses and reports on expenditures, progress, commitments, budget performance and schedule performance.
  • Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, Project Controls processes, and procedures.

Management of Reports and Project Service Functions (including invoicing):

  • Generating critical milestones for the engineering and construction scopes from tender stage, FEED, detail design, construction & commissioning with involvement of with the Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
  • Work closely with management and business leaders to create project scope and objectives.
  • Direct involvement in provision of Brownfield Engineering Services and product definition activities relating to marketing and/or technical requirements.
  • Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments of project team members.
  • Develop novel concepts and approaches to solving team, technical or schedule problems.

Qualifications:

Good technical degree together with Chartered Status and/or equivalent membership of appropriate professional body.

Competencies & Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to execute and improve the organization's control processes and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills using MS Office tools and P6 Primavera.
  • Excellent Communication and People management skills.
  • Excellent team working and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Self motivated, with good analytical skills and ability to work under own initiative.
  • Strong background in all elements of Project Services function.
