The Role

The successful candidate will help coordinate an operations team for a single large project or several smaller or earlier phase developments; manage of Operations Readiness practitioners who are responsible for Operations Readiness within an integrated multi discipline program or from beginning to end; participate in customer and stakeholder management, scope definition, program development, planning, organization, resources, execution, assurance, close out and capturing of lessons learned, as a subject matter expert or in delivering a specific theme within the program

Scope of Responsibilities

The candidate will be required to:

  • Coordinate multi-discipline engineering activities for concurrent oil and gas projects from ODE’s Great Yarmouth office. Projects will primarily be operational readiness for onshore and offshore facilities in the UK
  • Responsible for ensuring operations systems are developed in accordance with ODE, Client and International Standards.
  • Coordinate multi-discipline project teams to develop and implement fit for purpose scopes which are delivered safely in accordance with the project schedule, agreed budgets, and completion dates.
  • Represent the company and act as focal point with clients for all project activities including providing project progress updates
  • Manage scope, cost & schedule changes for each phase
  • Conduct offshore / site surveys as required
  • Manage project risks and coordinate all mitigation activities to address the risks
  • Consolidate and agree scopes of work with clients and support the preparation of proposals, detailed cost estimates and project schedules
  • Ensure work is planned and executed safely and in line with ODE’s SHEQ policy
  • Deputise for the contract manager as required

  • Assist in developing the scope and plan for all operational readiness activities

The Role

Looking to hire a Regional Manager to help manage current offshore wind business, assess and develop market and partnership strategies required to garner a leading market share and visibility for the company in the market. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency within assigned territory by developing business and market strategies to drive growth and profitability, engage and motivate employees, ensure employees are in the right positions, provide sales leadership and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement, in cooperation with the local team, a plan to aggregate a large pipeline of offshore wind projects in the local market. This would include both licensed projects and non-licensed “net metering” projects.
  • Lead the overall coordination of the development steps and requirements for all projects including land acquisition, permitting, deal experience with strong financial structuring knowledge and regulatory compliance
  • Lead the preparation of tender documents and proposals for wind project bids – both within the government’s program and with commercial entities interested in renewable energy.
  • Manage negotiations with tender/proposal partners and counterparties
  • Support external (3rd party) development activities. Identify, negotiate with and engage local and regional development partners
  • Set up, in cooperation with other departments, financial models, calculate project economics, and document the development status of projects

The Role

Following a strategic re-organisation of ODE’s business in separate Asset Management and Engineering companies, there is now an exciting opportunity to join ODE as Head of Projects. Working alongside the Engineering Manager and supported by a number of Project Engineers, the Head of Projects will ensure all studies and projects managed out of ODE’s Great Yarmouth office are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Client expectations. Direct, hands-on project management will be expected in support of larger scopes and regular liaison with ODE’s London and Cairo offices will be required to facilitate effective multi-centre working. The role will include input to business development, preparation & co-ordination of bids / proposals, responsibility for the oversight of cost, progress & safety performance on multiple con-current projects and ensuring compliance with corporate procedures. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, experience of project managing EPC oil & gas projects and be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Experience of both development projects and brownfield modifications will be beneficial. As a member of the management team, the role will also include visible safety leadership, input to audits and investigations and participation in ODE’s Emergency Response Team.

Scope of Responsibilities

The GY Projects Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of projects managed from the GY office with the focus on safety, cost, schedule & Client satisfaction. This will generally involve co-ordinating Project Engineers / Lead Engineers to deliver projects but will also on occasions require direct, hands-on Project Management.

The technical delivery & content of projects will be overseen by the Engineering Manager. The Projects Manager will therefore be expected to work closely alongside the Engineering Manager to ensure the appropriate resources are available and assigned to projects.

Roles and responsibilities cover the full lifecycle of typical projects and include the following:

  • Assistance in business development activities including direct client liaison
  • Preparation and co-ordination of bids, proposals and engineering / project estimates
  • Ensuring (with input from the Engineering Managers) that the appropriate resources are selected and assigned from the shared pool to both manage and deliver projects

Integrated Planning Engineer

The Role

The key aims of the role are:

  • To administer, co-ordinate and manage the Integrated Plan
  • Integrate of all ODE operated and supported assets via Primavera P6
  • To ensure the Attendance Tracking system (ATS) aligns in terms of resources in conjunction with the Resource Co-ordinators
  • Responsible for the day to day coordination of the planning control function
  • Engage with all relevant parties and compliance with the Integrated Planning Procedure.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Undertake the planning and resource loading for the assigned work scope(s), giving proactive, effective advice on the feasibility of plans, the impact of any changes and any required mitigating actions
  • Assessing risk to delivery of schedules, recommending risk reducing actions where required in order to gain better confidence of ‘on time delivery’
  • Identifies/highlights planning clashes or interfaces and works with the team to resolve issues.
  • Attends planning, engineering and operations meetings
  • Liaises with engineering/operations/resources personnel to ensure availability of vendors to meet plan dates
  • Prepare input for the daily, weekly and monthly progress reports (including  “S” curves, histograms) and areas of concern and remedial actions.
  • Interface with the supply chain team and contractors (as required), to ensure that materials and equipment deliveries are properly reflected in the detailed schedules.
  • Identifies critical activities, floats, slipped activities to ensure they are recorded for audit purposes.
  • Ensure that the plans within MMS (Maintenance Management System) are aligned with the Primavera plan.
  • Review outstanding maintenance and project work to meet KPI and client expectations
  • Ensures maintenance, integrated and operations plans are updated/issued on a regular basis, determined by Contracts and Deputy Contract Manager
  • Ensure changes to the plan are documented and managed effectively.

  • Determine integrated operations plan to allow for efficiencies in scheduling resources and logistics (supply vessels and flights) accounting for operational risk factors and provide relevant mitigation plans.
  • Determine optimal resource allocation in order to meet work order MMS maintenance due dates.
  • Determine viability of engineering implementation schedules to key in with NUI & manned operational activities in order to be committed to integrated plan
  • During implementation phase, assess construction schedules to ensure practicability
  • Assess engineering schedules (key dates) to meet Client project/Management of Change ‘Target Dates’ prior to committing to integrated schedule

 

Safety and Environmental Related Tasks

  • Ensuring SHE activities are adequately planned in and resourced
  • Monitor performance against the SHEQ plan.
  • Form part of the Emergency Response team as required by the Company Emergency Response Procedures

Qualifications

Minimum NVQ Level 3 or HNC qualification (or equivalent) Preferably a degree in relevant technical or business discipline or can be substituted by suitable industry experience.
