ODE Asset Management delivers successful Walk to Work campaign on Tolmount platform for HGSL

ODE Asset Management (ODE AM) has successfully completed a 9-week Walk to Work campaign for the Tolmount platform in the Southern North Sea as Installation and Pipelines operating partner on behalf of Humber Gathering System Limited (HGSL), a Kellas Midstream company.

ODE AM coordinated and executed the campaign, enabling the completion of annual shutdown maintenance work and additional project scopes on the platform such as preparatory works for the Tolmount East project.

The Walk to Work campaign used the EDT Protea multi-purpose support vessel to transfer over 120 personnel, across the campaign, to the Tolmount platform via a motion-compensated gangplank, allowing direct access to the asset. The use of Walk to Work technology allowed ODE AM to maximise the efficiency of its scope execution, enabling increased personnel numbers to complete work onboard the asset without the need to use multiple helicopter journeys, adding value and reducing carbon footprint.

The May 2023 Walk to Work campaign is the third such campaign on HGS and ODE Asset Management’s execution of the latest offshore work scope has been first class, with high levels of productivity. The only notable downtime was caused by weather. ODE AM’s execution of this and future Walk to Work campaigns are key to safely delivering our operational targets for the Tolmount platform and supporting tie-backs, such as Tolmount East, to come on stream in a timely manner.’
