International technical service provider Offshore Design Engineering (ODE) has relocated its Japan regional office to the Konan district of Tokyo after a period of strong growth in the country. ODE established its presence in Japan in 2019 and initially opened its regional office in Tokyo’s Roppongi district.

ODE’s growth in Japan has been driven by collaboration with leading Japanese developers and the successful execution of major local contracts. ODE also offers a unique comprehensive service offering to the sector, blending expert knowledge of the Japanese market with in-depth engineering knowledge from ODE’s numerous international offices.

On this office relocation, Andrew Baker, Managing Director for ODE, commented, “ODE’s growth in Japan over the last three years is testament to our global engineering team and the leadership of our Japan Country Manager, Takao Sato. We are proudly an integrated part of the Japanese offshore wind supply chain.

“This office relocation is a sign of our further commitment to Japan’s offshore wind industry. The industry is set to continue expanding at a strong pace, and we look forward to contributing to this first-hand and expanding our Tokyo-based engineering team to suit.”
